ShuiLong started in 2017 when Lin Jian-Wei, a licensed plumber with over a decade on Taipei construction sites, noticed something simple: most home plumbing problems are small, but the process of getting them sorted out is often far larger than it needs to be. Waiting days for a quote, being told parts weren't available, or receiving an invoice that didn't match what was discussed — these things were common enough that they'd become expected.
He set up ShuiLong with the aim of doing things differently. One call. A clear price. A plumber who shows up when agreed, explains what they're doing, and cleans up before leaving. That's still the whole idea, eight years on.
The business covers leaks, blockages, and home installations across central and east Taipei. The team is small by design — three licenced plumbers who know the pipes common in Taipei apartments, the quirks of older buildings around Songshan and Da'an, and the fitting standards used locally. Work is carried out under Taiwan's 水電技術士 (Plumbing Technician) licensing framework, and we stay current on material standards through the Taiwan Plumbing Association.
We work with both homeowners and landlords managing properties across the city. Tenants who need something fixed without bothering their landlord, and property managers who need clear, written records of completed work — both find the process comfortable here.

Make home plumbing in Taipei as straightforward as a trip to a trusted hardware shop. You describe the problem, we handle it, the price doesn't shift, and you're not left wondering what happened inside your walls.
How we see the work
A plumber is a guest in someone's home. The work should leave the place better than it was found — not just functionally, but physically. We bring dust sheets, wear indoor shoes, and take debris with us when we go.
Our promise on price
The three prices shown on our site reflect the full scope of each service under normal conditions. If something unexpected comes up — a cracked section of pipe inside a wall, for instance — we stop, explain, and let you decide before continuing. No surprises on the invoice.

Founder & Lead Plumber
Licenced since 2009. Spent ten years on new-build sites across Taipei before setting up ShuiLong. Handles all installation and whole-home reviews.
Chen Chun-Hao
Plumber — Leak & Repair
Specialises in tap, mixer, and joint work. Particularly at home in the older apartment buildings around Songshan and Zhongshan where fittings can be non-standard.
Wu Ming-Ting
Plumber — Drainage
Focused on drain and trap work. Handles most of the blockage call-outs across the team's coverage area and advises on drainage layout for installation jobs.
How We Work — Our Standards
These are the things we consider non-negotiable, regardless of how small or large the job is.
Licensed technicians
All three plumbers hold active 水電技術士 (Plumbing Technician) licences issued under Taiwan's vocational certification framework. Copies available on request.
Water isolation before work
We always isolate the relevant water supply before opening any joint or fitting, and confirm pressure is restored and leak-free before closing up the site.
CNS-compliant materials
Parts and fittings supplied by ShuiLong meet CNS (Chinese National Standards) specifications. We document what was fitted so you have a clear record for future reference.
Clean work area, always
Dust sheets placed before any work begins, removed and folded on completion. All debris, old fittings, and packaging leave the property with us.
Itemised receipt on request
A written breakdown of work completed and parts used is available for every job. Useful for tenants, landlords, and building management offices.

Plumbing experience across Taipei's residential buildings
Central Taipei presents a specific set of plumbing conditions. Apartment blocks built between the 1970s and 1990s often use galvanised steel pipework that corrodes differently to the copper and PPR found in newer builds. Pressure varies significantly between floors in high-rise buildings, and the building layout in older Songshan, Da'an, and Zhongshan neighbourhoods can mean that a single leak affects multiple units. ShuiLong's team has worked inside enough of these buildings to recognise the patterns quickly.
For homeowners, this matters because a faster diagnosis means a shorter job and less disruption. For landlords and property managers overseeing multiple units, it means fewer callbacks and clearer documentation. We aim to resolve each job on the first visit — which, in our experience, is possible the large majority of the time when the scope is agreed clearly at the outset.
Tap and fixture installation follows the same careful approach. New builds and renovated apartments often need precise pressure-balancing when mixing older and newer pipework, and water heater connections require proper certification of the supply line. Each installation is tested under working pressure before we consider the job done.
